★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 仙台城搦手の出入り口ここから南は竜ノ口渓谷があり人が登れない断崖絶壁になります。詰門から本丸裏手を回って侵入しようとした場合の最後の門になります。ここに平屋瓦葺きの小さな門が西向きで立っていたらしく、この門に至る前に二折しないといけないため防御性が高いつくりとなっていた。しかし現存する遺構はほとんどないのは残念である。現在は用の出入り口となっていて車で来た場合この場所から入ることになります。観光バスなどが多く通るので注意が必要です。

This is the last gate when you try to intrude around the back of the Honmaru from the gate. It seems that a small flat-roofed gate stood westward here, and it had to be folded in two before reaching this gate, making it highly defensive. Unfortunately, there are few surviving archeological sites. Currently, it is the entrance for you, and if you come by car, you will enter from this place. Be careful as many tourist buses pass by.
