★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 広瀬川にかかる城と城下をつなぐ橋です。現在、大橋から大手門へ向かう道路は、まっすぐに伸びていますが、かつては大手門の手前で左に折れていたことが明治時代に撮影された古写真からわかります。大橋は、1893年に鉄橋に架け替えられ、道路も直線に替えられました。広瀬川の川底には橋脚の柱を据えるために岩盤を掘り込んだ柱穴が見られ、かつての橋の位置は現在よりやや北側にあったことが分かります。
It is a bridge that connects the castle over the Hirose River and the castle. Currently, the road from Ohashi to Otemon stretches straight, but you can see from old photographs taken in the Meiji era that it used to turn left in front of Otemon. The bridge was replaced by an iron bridge in 1893, and the road was also changed to a straight line. At the bottom of the Hirose River, you can see postholes dug into the bedrock to install the pillars of the piers, and you can see that the former bridge was located slightly north of the present.
