 This is primarily a monumental stone for the memory of horses that died of infectious diseases. In front of the museum, it stands quietly between the moat and the road. It differs from the monument built for the pet after the great earthquake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この場所にはなぜか動物にまつわる慰霊碑が3つあります。軍馬軍用動物碑、満州事変の軍馬碑、そしてこの家畜碑。道路側に、木の植え込みの中にあるので目立ちません。どの団体が設置したのかわかりませんが、せっかくならその由来をしっかり周知して、私たちの日常に消費されていく家畜たちを弔いたいものです。
For some reason there are three animal memorials in this place. War Horse Military Animal Monument, Manchurian Incident War Horse Monument, and this Livestock Monument. On the road side, it is inconspicuous because it is in a tree planting. I don't know which group installed it, but I would like to know the origin of it and mourn the livestock that are consumed in our daily lives.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 裏に書かれていた碑文を読むとハッとさせられました。涙が出そうです。多くの動物が人類の犠牲になって伝染病予防方法が確立されたんだと。とても意義がある碑だと思います。
I was relieved to read the inscription on the back. Tears are about to come out. Many animals have been sacrificed to humanity to establish methods for preventing infectious diseases. I think that it is a very meaningful monument.
