あ	あいす on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 河原町OPAの裏手にあります。螺旋階段をあがった2階。彩野菜のスープカレーに、チーズトッピングしました。スープカレーは、お出汁とスパイスが効いていて美味しい！！辛さは2のちょい辛にしたけど結構スパイシーだなと思ったので、辛いのが苦手な方は1でもいいかもしれません。野菜は素揚げされていて、特にブロッコリーとほくほくのじゃがいもがお気に入り！！ It is behind the Kawaramachi OPA. The second floor up the spiral staircase. Aya vegetable soup curry with cheese topping. Soup curry is delicious with soup stock and spices! !! I made the spiciness a little spicy, but I thought it was quite spicy, so if you are not good at spicy food, 1 may be fine. The vegetables are fried, and I especially like broccoli and Hokuhoku potatoes! !!

The curry is made from local ingredients with care and consideration, and all the condiments are made by the restaurant too. I wanted the meal to go on forever. I would definitely come back. After trying a lot of different restaurants in Kyoto over the last 9 days (and Japan in small visits over the last 5 years) this is actually my favorite curry place! The vegetables are grilled just so, the current flavorful but not overly salty, and the meat is tender... just perfect! :) We love the tiny, personal food spots with friendly service, and specialized attention to a small menu, and this one hit the mark and more!

So glad there is a soup curry restaurant in Kyoto! This place was pretty easy to find-clear signage outside (it's on the second floor). Friendly staff who brought us an English menu. The soup curry was excellent. Delicious fresh vegetables and even the side of pickles was really tasty! Will be here again!!
