★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had lunch here while walking along Philosophers Path. The place is quite cramped (we had backpacks for cameras, jacket, water, etc.), but the Soba and Udon is very good! One of the best noodles I've tried in Kyoto and is reasonably priced. The taste and texture of the tempura is also good.
The place is family run, they have limited English, but they have English menu (I don't speak any Japanese).
I would definitely come back again when I'm in Kyoto.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small, simple restaurant with delicious hot and cold soba and a couple of other standard Japanese dishes. Tempura was perfect. English menu available. 3700 yen for three including tea and a large beer which we shared.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect way to satisfy your appetite. Some of the better soba I’ve had so far. Tempura was also good. Not cheap but reasonably priced.
The place had a good relaxed atmosphere.
