★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad experience.. ? Small portions and very expensive compared to similar restaurants in the center of kyoto. I ordered the curry rice and beef and received 3 miniature pieces of fatty beef (The size of a game dice). When I told this to the waitress, she took the plate and brought it back with one more piece. Highly unrecommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As far as Japan is concerned, there isn't much I can say that is not positive, I love Japan! Though, we only had coffee and cakes at Yojiya, they are reasonably good though a little bit pricey for its location. Its ambience is pleasant, an ideal place to sit down, relax after a stroll and have a nice cup of coffee and cakes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to have a sandwich and hot coffee especially during autumn and winter. As huge number of tourist and limited table, we can feel that extra time for our coffee most likely not advisable here, if we want to be fair with others.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the best place to rest after visiting the bamboo groove. We visited the groove in summer so it was great to get some chilled drinks and ice cream at this cafe.
