★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a lovely find. A few steps away from the main street in Arashiyama it's a great place to get away from the crowds and enjoy a light meal or traditional Japanese sweet. I had the negiyaki, which was like a Japanese savoury crepe and it was delicious. It was my first time to try it and will definitely order again. I also ordered anmitsu for dessert and a coffee. The anmitsu was beautifully made and seemed a shame to eat it as it was so well presented. It also tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend this place for an authentic Japanese experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Charming, quiet restaurant with a lovely garden, only one street back from the main tourist strip in Arayashima. Mostly sweets but they also serve delicious Kyoto-style okonomiyaki. We love okonomiyaki and this was one of the best ones we had during this trip to Japan.

Wonderful Negiyaki (Kyoto style pancake with egg, beaf, green onion, fish cake, ginger), you could have it.
There are also several authentic Japanse sweets, too.
I visit here when I have a friend from other city as always and everyone enjoyed their food and sweets here!!
