There is another stone monument in the same stroke, but this is excellent However, the value is low unless you are like me, whose motto is "walking in Kyoto and feeling the history".

Honnoji has moved quite a bit, but the strangeness of Honnoji seems to be here.

The Honnoji Incident that every Japanese knows, the last place of Nobunaga, Honnoji was here (the revived Honnoji was moved to Teramachi by Hideyoshi's order). There is a stone monument standing on Tsuji, which is located on the northeastern corner of the temple, which is like Kyoto.

The information program has been noisy since the morning of February 7, 2009. Today is the final episode of "Kirin ga Kuru" and it's strange about Honnoji ... I'm curious for some reason. If you notice, you might be riding Hankyu and heading to the scene of the incident (laughs) I headed from Karasuma station by limited express, but I passed by with everyone ? But when I turned around, it was nice to have a stone monument ? This is wonderful! A stone monument whose color has changed due to scale or mold is good. Do you want to watch the taiga drama tonight while feeling the history of rain and wind?

Stone monument: Hokke-ji Temple was founded by Nichiryu of Myohon-ji Temple (now Myoken-ji Temple) in 1415, the head temple of the Hokke-shu main gate. When it was built, it was located in Takatsuji, Yukoji, and was called Honoji. In 1433, he moved to Shijobomon Omiya and changed it to Honnoji. At the time of the Honnoji Incident on June 2, 1582, it had a temple area surrounded by hexagons in the north, Takoyakushi in the south, Nishinotoin in the east, and Aburanokoji in the west. Later, he moved to Teramachi Oike at the behest of Hideyoshi Toyotomi (1536-98). This stone marker shows the location of Honnoji Temple at the time of the change.
There are only three stone monuments. You have to go around to find it. The current Honnoji Temple is located near the Kyoto City Hall on Kawaramachi-dori, which Hideyoshi moved from this location. Considering that this place of Honnoji Temple, which was Nobunaga's temporary lodging, is just a stone's throw from the Kyoto Imperial Palace, I feel that Nobunaga's ideas can be seen.
