★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the spicy tan-tan and spiced curry ramen. Have been to a few ramen places while travelling through Japan, some on the Michelin guide, and this was easily as good if not better - if you like spice. Highly recommend.

The Toyama Black Soy Sauce Ramen was pretty dull and flavorless, besides the strong fish smell.
The Tan-tan noodles are super flavor full though. Strong base and good noodles. Get those!
Service was friendly. Prices are very affordable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely delicious and flavorful broth. Toyama black soy sauce ramen is spectacular. The flavor is complex and salty. The umami really comes through. The set is a great deal. About $8.50 USD for a lunch set.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3 stars ramen restaurant. Charsiu was not as good as photo. Very dry, not thick. Noodles and soup was ok. Not too salty. The Best items were green onions and egg. Still Some place is able to improve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tan tan men was great. They have good and affordable set menus for lunch time. Very helpful staff who assist with machine and ordering if you need it. Menu is in English as well. Around ¥2200 yen for two set meals and drinks. The boiled gyoza was okay but not the best. A nice range of chilli sauces.
To find ramen street head to the Isitan building and take the lift to level 10.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ramen noodle itself is good. Marinated egg and the pork too. I was wondering what happened to the soup, which is also very important part of Ramen.
The soup was tasteless but ironically salty. It mean they did not put much ingredient into the pot to make a naturally tasty soup, but adding a lot of soy sauce and salt instead. Not worth trying.
I wanted to give 3 stars but it reminds me the whole "Ramen Road" floor is a dark, narrow and unhygienic environment that packed with a lot unknown ramen restaurants. It's more a place tailor-made to fool the tourists.
We were too hungry after a long ride to Kyoto and just wanted to grab some food immediately. Should have researched to avoid this kind of place. It was disappointing.
