You know this place will be good when there is a long line waiting to get in. The special noodle bowl had lots of noodle. The broth while a bit salty was very rich and not too fatty. Good price for the amount of food.

We went at 7ish pm on Saturday night, there was a long q of around 20 ppl. So we left and we went again on a weekday morning at 10ish—a small queue of 6 ppl. Gyoza’s skin was very thin and tasty. We ordered mini ramen, soup was strong with soy sauce but not much of meat flavour. We had better ramen in Sanjo area. In my opinion, it is over rated and it doesn’t worth the wait. If you prefer strong soy sauce based ramen, please go ahead.

Ramen was good at the first bite. After that it went downhill and gave you a feeling that you didn't want to finish it. But for the price it was worth the amount as the portions were large. The 'Special Ramen' was just their normal one but in a bigger portion so don't be cheated like we did.

It boasts queues starting from opening time at 6am till when it closes at 1am. I'm inclined to believe it because I showed up at 3.30pm when it was raining cats and dogs and there was a 10 person queue. This did not change after I left the shop at around 4.15pm. It's a light shoyu ramen with thin slices of char siew that manages to taste agreeable the whole way through unlike other similar looking ramen. Other reviews tout it as a breakfast ramen and I agree. The noodles seem a bit special in their bite but that's about it. I ordered the special ramen but as you can clearly see it is rather no frills. An egg would have been nice although the amount of meat is fair for the price I guess. Gyoza was fairly good with well crisped skin on the bottom. This is unfortunately a rarity in Japanese Gyoza. I wouldn't queue more than half an hour for this.

The only time I've waited in line for 45 minutes for any food. So delicious and an efficient process for taking orders outside before you get seated so your food comes right after you're seated. Located pretty close to train station too. My husband and I got ramen and dumplings. So delicious!

We were here on a Monday lunch time. Waited for about 40min. The Ramen tastes great and the amount is more than enough. The music played at the background is quite relaxing and pleasant. The guy who served us looks joyful and this brought us a happy atmosphere. I'd recommend this restaurant if you are not in rush for a quick bite.

Waited 45 minutes and enjoyed dinner! A simpler ramen, with light broth but flavorful and delicious. I would come back next time I visit Kyoto!
