★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local restaurant with compassion for vegetarians and vegans. There is a whole menu for veg diets. The staff even gave us a map of other friendly places in Kyoto.
Tasty food and really nice service. Various sorts of dishes. The drink menu is limited. Come here for great udon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice to be able to go to a Japanese restaurant that has a sperate menu which is not just vegetarian, but fully vegan. I got the aubergine and soy 'meat' balls udon noodles. As is often the case in Japan, it's largely just noodles, albeit with the odd piece of aubergine or soy meatball thrown in. But it was certainly tasty. The staff were also very friendly and respectful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located very close to a number of shrines at the end of the Gion road. they have an English menu and great variety of amazingly cooked Udon, Donburi and Curries. Perfect if you are looking a heavier meal to satisfy you for a few hours.
The restaurant is very clean and Service is very quick.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely delicious vegeterian udon (fat noodles). My wife had curry broth with regular intensity and I had Kitsune undon and added some of the custom spice from the table. We added veggie tempura in on the side and dropped them in for a nice texture. Delicious

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The vegetarian Ama-Kitsune udon was delicious! Super flavourful. My boyfriend had the beef curry donburi and he ate it so fast it must have been delicious as well!! Highly recommend. There is a bigger seating area upstairs. Staff were super friendly. Great spot for udon. Would definitely go back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yummy and satisfying meals that warm you from the inside out. I had the kitsune curry donburi and it was delicious; my partner thought the same of his tempura curry donburi. There was a seperate vegetarian menu which was great, and the restaurant is very close to the Hanami-Koji-Dori for prime geisha spotting! Make sure you try the umeshu high ball - absolutely delicious!
