★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked ahead and were seated at the chef’s counter. No idea what upstairs is like but watching the kitchen in action and conversing with the chef is always fun.
We weren’t feeling overly hungry and decided to order off the menu rather than do the chef’s selection.
We had sashimi, oysters, eggplant, grilled sea bass, the grilled pork and tempura. Plenty for the two of us.
All very tasty and beautifully plated especially the sashimi.
Nice people and no troubles with the English/Japanese as they had an english menu with pictures of most dishes. And the chef/boss spoke English.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely multi course meal from this small, two chef kaiseki restaurant. We had about eight courses, all different and beautifully prepared. It was a very gaijin friendly restaurant, with both chefs having decent English. The sake was good too. This is a great choice if you want kaiseki food at a reasonable price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After poking around options in the neighborhood, decided to give this place a try and it was such a good decision. We went with the chef’s choice set and it was awesome. Each dish was carefully prepared in front of us, explained by the two chef team, and each was fantastic. The dishes were appropriately small and by the end of 8 courses I was comfortably stuffed. The drinks went well with the meal and the chefs were sweet, charming, and we managed to chat with the little Japanese we knew and the English they knew. Great find! Gochisosama deshita!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the dishes and presentation. Attentive chiefs; every dish was explained. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because smoking is allowed in the restaurant and a couple next to us chain-smoked the entire time we had dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A compliment to the chef and staff of this establishment, unbelievable food and even better hosting. For the little Japanese I know the staff are all well versed in english which made it even easier, on the first visit the chef was offering advice to a patron and his english sounded better than mine. Both visits to this establishment the food was delicious. The menu is short but sweet, many options and a chefs course which is 5 plates served up with each one being explained what you are eating, If you are in the area this restaurant is definitely a place you should visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were around the area and saw good reviews for this restaurant. We ordered a number of a la carte dishes as opposed to the course menu due to time constraints. The food are generally seasoned nicely but still lacking the oomph and also sits towards the bland-ish or mild flavour. Would definitely give it a higher mark if the dishes can provide more memorable experience.
