B	Burger Burger on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seasonal exhibitions so do check what is on before heading down as it might not be of interest to you and it’s will b a waste. Nice building and the landscape. It’s just opp the 33 shrine/temple so its ideal to visit this together.
D	David Maddison on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like most places in Japan, this museum is exceptionally cheap to visit. The grounds are absolutely stunning and there’s major works on at the moment to replace and upgrade the exhibitions. Nice place to sit and escape the city whilst you’re exploring Kyoto ?
Y	Yamile Olivares on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst museum experience of all my life. The price at this date was 1800 yen not 1600. After they charge you there is a sign that the main brick building is closed but there is a small art gallery from a Japanese tea master. Unless you buy the 600 yen guide you will not understand much if you are a foreigner. The guide offering is after you already paid 1800 yen. The staff does not speak English and they are not helpful. Total scam. You better off spending the money in food.

There are special lecture about the museum history free of charges held twice a day at B2 floor, there is free audio interpreter if you didn't understand Japanese much. There is also audio guide available for the rest of the museum 550 yen, which also recommended. You can't speak loudly or taking photos inside exhibition Building but you can freely take photo outside. Meiji building can't be entered for now
M	Matthew H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The day I went one of the two main buildings were closed, and only one and a half of the 4 floors of the accessible building were open. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. What I did see was great, but I can't recommend a visit on my experience.

All information is offered in English alongside Japanese including item descriptions, theme explanations, and lecture videos about certain artifacts. There is no photography allowed within the museum so if you want to see the artifacts you must go in person.
K	Kingston Obike on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The exhibitions are changed frequently, so every visit a couple of weeks apart promises to present a new set of well preserved national treasures alongside those that remain all year round. Access is cheap for a national museum of this kind; access is discounted for students and it is free for some exceptions such as students of Kyoto University.
