★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 蓮華王院は長寛元年(１１６３年)に平清盛が造立した法住寺殿の堂宇の一 つ。かつてこの地は後白河法皇が出家して院御所として住し、法住寺殿と呼ば れていました。しかし、寿永２年（１１８３年）、木曾義仲の襲撃により焼失してしまいした。
Rengeoin is one of the temples of Hoju-ji Temple built by Taira no Kiyomori in the first year of Chokan (1163). In the past, Emperor Go-Shirakawa was born and lived as a temple palace, and was called Hoju-ji Temple. However, in 1183, it was burnt down by the attack of Yoshinaka Kiso.
