元遊郭の建物がたくさん残っていますが老朽化が激しく、いつ取り壊されるかわかりません。
京の歴史遺産のひとつです。
If you don't see this place now, you may not be able to see it anymore.
There are many former Yukaku buildings, but they are aging and I do not know when they will be demolished.
It is one of the historical heritages of Kyoto.

高瀬川周辺には江戸時代の風情がまだ残っている。
The number of historical buildings has decreased considerably.
The atmosphere of the Edo period still remains around the Takase River.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昭和の歓楽街ですね。建物の使用目的が変わっても現在の建物にはない感じを残したレトロな建物が残っているのでいい散歩に成りました。
It's the Showa entertainment district. Even if the purpose of use of the building changed, there was a retro building that left a feeling that the current building does not have, so it was a good walk.

十数年前まで遊郭だったあたりを散歩…少し趣のある建物や雰囲気に出会えます。今は宿泊施設や飲食店にリノベーションされつつあります。

しかし今はそれらの建物がリノベーションされて、オシャレな居酒屋やゲストハウスに変わっています
町には歴史を知らない若い人たちや外国人が沢山歩いています
ただ現役の組事務所が今もあり、警察車両が常駐してる闇の部分も残っています
現在（2021年）組事務所は退去して健全な町になりました、が、今度はコロナショックで今後どうなることやら

Many young people and foreigners who do not know history are walking in the town
However, there is still an active group office, and there is still a dark part where police vehicles are resident.
Currently (2021), the group office has moved out and became a healthy town, but what will happen in the future due to the corona shock this time?
