豊臣秀吉が愛したというのもホンマか知らんけど頷ける。ただし、当時はマクドやココイチや吉野家はなかった。個人的にはそういうのでも同じくらいの満足度は得られる。要するに金額=満足度ではないので、ここは少し高いから無理して来ることはないよと言いたい。
Uzofusui! was delicious.
I don't know if Toyotomi Hideyoshi loved it, but I can nod. However, at that time, there were no McDonald's, Cocoichi, or Yoshinoya. Personally, I can get the same degree of satisfaction. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 13:00に予約で伺いました。コースは3種類。ランチはう雑炊のみがあるので、お宿で夕食がありましたから、そちらを注文しました。
先にお抹茶と和三盆の砂糖菓子が出ます。注文してからうなぎを捌くのかな。と思ったら意外に早く来ました。2人前が一つの土鍋できます。ご飯はたっぷり。お米はとても美味しいです。うなぎはほんの少しですね(笑)
お出汁がよく、味がとても美味しかったです。
I made a reservation at 13:00. There are 3 types of courses. I only had porridge for lunch, so I had dinner at the inn, so I ordered that.
Matcha and Wasanbon sugar confectionery will be served first. I wonder if I will handle the eels after ordering. I came unexpectedly early. Two servings can make one clay pot. Plenty of rice. The rice is very delicious. There are only a few eels (laughs)
The soup stock was good and the taste was very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 伊集院静の「贅沢すぎる時間」という本や、「小津安二郎・美食三昧 関西編」という本に掲載されてぜひ行きたいと思っていたので、その「わらじや」へ祝日の17:45くらいに一人で行ってきました♪
あらかじめ18時に予約していましたが、時間が少し早かったにも関わらず快くすぐ入れて良かったです♪
何とあの豊臣秀吉が「わらじ」を脱いで召し上がったお店なので「わらじや」で、当時からあるということは、かなりの老舗となります♪
鰻鍋(うなべ)と鰻雑炊(うぞうすい)が有名でその専門店となります♪
場所は東山区七条通本町東入ル西之門町555で、京阪七条駅から徒歩約3分ほどで、大きな通りの左側にあります♪
入口から老舗感あふれていて、さすが大きな「わらじ」が飾られていましたね♪
まずは検温や手指消毒をして、そしてお店の方に案内されて箱庭を通って右側の部屋に案内されました♪
その箱庭もさすが素敵です♪
店内は綺麗で、窓は少し開けられて換気され、二酸化炭素濃度計もあり感染対策には気をつけているようです。
すぐに抹茶と小さな落雁が運ばれ驚きます♪
抹茶とはさすが京都の老舗ですね!
落雁の白い包みを開けると「わらじや」の刻印があるのもさすがです!
これは嬉しくなります♪
ゆったりと抹茶と落雁を堪能します♪
ドリンクメニューを見て瓶ビール小(キリンラガー)632円(消費税10%・サービス料15%込み)を頼みました♪
あぁぁ冷えたビールが旨いです♪
夜は「うなべとうぞふすい6,831円(消費税10%・サービス料15%込み)」の提供のみとなり、以下が運ばれました♪
感染症対策のために、お店の方による説明は省かれて、その代わりに分かりやすい説明書きを頂きます♪
☆先付け(しらす、川魚甘露煮、菜の花、ゼリー)
どれも上質でビールに合います♪
☆うなべ(鰻のぶつ切り、九条ネギ、庄内麩、春雨、生姜)
ぶつ切りにしたウナギは、独自の油でパリパリに焼き上げ、職人の技により中骨を抜いたものとは素晴らしく、生姜も入った出汁も効いてさすが美味しいです♪
ぶつ切りにしたウナギとは初めてでしたね♪
底の方に春雨がたっぷりあり、柔らかい庄内麩も良いアクセントとなっていましたね♪
☆うぞふすい(ウナギの白焼き、ごぼう、ニンジン、椎茸、三つ葉、お餅、卵)
ぐつぐつと沸騰させながら「うぞふすい」が大きな鍋で運ばれ圧倒されます♪
これも出汁がよく効いて卵とウナギとそして柔らかい餅もあり、寒い冬に身体が温まりこれはとても良かったですね♪
美味しかったです♪
☆香の物(昆布、キュウリ、赤カブ)
「うぞふすい」と一緒に上質な香の物を美味しく頂きました♪
☆水もの(リンゴ、オレンジ)
まぁ普通のリンゴとオレンジでした。
「わらじや」は歴史ある老舗で、その風情を味わいながら、名物料理である鰻鍋や鰻雑炊等を美味しく頂けとてもオススメです!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing appetizer and eel soup. Started with high quality matcha followed by matcha starter, pickled carrot, pickled seaweed and simmered small fish. All of them were seasoned delicately and perfectly. The next dish was eel soup with very good tofu skin. It came with special green seasoning spice. The spice was very unique and really added layers of flavor to the soup. By far everything was perfect. But the next main course Eel Porridge was a little disappointing. Taste was similar to the soup, lacking diversity of flavor. Eel was not seasoned. I guess the essence of Japanese cuisine was to bring up the true flavor of the food itself. But the soup and porridge had too similar flavor dynamics, so I don’t think I will come back and pay 6k+ yen for the set meal. I hope there would be a la carte for the eel soup, for which I will definitely come back. Waitress barely spoke English.
