★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 繁華街から少し離れた静かな位置にある。店構えは立派で、店内も広い。和室にテーブル席が設えてあるが、この方がゆっくりできるだろう。
料理はいずれも出汁がしっかり使われており、美味しい。何より中居さんたちの接客が非常によくゆっくり食事を楽しめる。
 It is in a quiet location, a little away from the downtown area. The store is well-positioned and the interior is large. There are table seats in the Japanese-style room, but this is probably the way to go.
The soup stock is used in all dishes and it is delicious. Above all, the customer service of Mr. Nakai is very good and you can enjoy your meal slowly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was recommended this restaurant by Asahido, the owner of the pottery shop by the same name in Gion. Harisei is traditional kaiseki style and everything we had was phenomenal. The service, food, dishes, decorations, and presentation were outstanding. Our server, Rei, was trained at a traditional tea ceremony school and was fluent in French and very good with English. Whatever words she didn't know for food she went and looked up before serving each course. Overall, a very zen and hospitable place. On our way out the owner and Rei waved to us as we walked down the street until we were out of site. Would definitely go back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place so much! The fall season dinner course was delightful! A nice traditional Japanese food experience. If you are allergic to anything, tell the staff and the chef will change the dish for you. For example, I can't eat raw meat so the chef changed the sashimi for a very tasty tofu dish. The service is 10/10. Would love to come back again if I have a chance to visit Kyoto next time.

You'll be surprised as soon as you enter. They do speak English and will tell you what you are eating.
Their tomato mousse, it's out of this world (will remember it for the rest of my life).
Excellent service and relaxing atmosphere.
