★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible food. I love (!) japanese food and mild flavours, but that was not good in any way.
Ordered the fusion set menu and except one dish the rest of the 8 dishes were bad. Finished my meal in 40 min and ran out.
Staff was polite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I were refused entry I am assuming because we were not local. There were empty seats & three (non white people) were allowed in after us and they did not have a booking.
racist or just rude, who knows, but very uncool I would say.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is certainly tasty. Fresh, delicate and very Japanese. It can however get very busy, so often it's not easy to simply turn up and expect a table. It can also take a while for the food to arrive - but only because it's carefully put together! Oh, and don't expect any English menus either.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife & I wanted to try this restaurant today, from recommendation from friends.
Unfortunately we were turned away,due to the fact that the waiter said it was “full”.... The restaurant, although small was only half full when looking through the window. Three Japanese were allowed entry with NO BOOKING .. as we were leaving. Left me feeling like a white foreigner & completely unwelcome. So if you are not local ... beware.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 8 course meal for 3100 yen per person. Every dish was absolutely exceptional. This restaurant could double their price and it would still be great value. Recommend having a reservation especially if over your party had more than 2 people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an incredible restaurant in Kyoto! If you have the chance to go, please do. An 8 course meal that was traditional, yet tasty Japanese food and the price (including Saki) was very reasonable. Make a reservation ahead of time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went there at lunch time. Coz it’s not so close to the Kyoto station, there were a few people eating inside, and the staffs took care of us friendly.
They have very good Japanese food that specialized in using various kind of vegetables, and the taste was sophisticated and excellent.
I love the pork fried with onions and sake, was so nice with alcohol!!
