Quaint, cute and only run by women kinda ice cream shop but it felt like more your at your best friends house. The seating area was on the first floor and I had the espresso + Italian ice cream set for 1500¥. I really enjoyed the non dairy ice cream and I must say it was really worth it. However, a bit pricey so that’s why 4 stars.

Nice place for relaxing and rest after long walks. More expensive than the other popular ice cream shops. Ice cream is delicious and pretty. However there’s no ingredient list for the items in the menu.. so I am not sure whether it’s vegan (the staff doesn’t speak English).

Two story, small building. Located on the ground floor is the souvenir section, second floor is kinana’s dessert restaurant area. Quaint place with little space. Right amount of sweetness and flavors in this parfait. Expect a Kyoto-like quality of dessert.

Nicely tucked away in the streets of Hanakimoji Dori, the outside decor is very cute, wooden and appeasing to the surrounding area. Once we stepped inside, we were greeted and told to go upstairs to find seating. We sat down, and were given two Japanese menus. Unfortunately, our seats were in the corner, where the waitress could not see us, so I made an effort to stand up, quietly, and walk over to the counter to ask if it was okay to have an English menu. I think it was very bad timing that this waitress was attending us, as she immediately gave me a glare whilst handing me the English menu. Ignoring this, I went to sit down with my Fiance. We decided on our choices (shown in the photos) and again, I wanted to get the waitress' attention without bothering other people so I stood up to walk over to make our order. She immediately told me to sit down, so I went back to my seat, and she asked for our order. It is unfortunate that during this process, her attitude was so poor, and we tried our utmost to tell her our choices in English. She gave little responses so we were unsure, and she made us feel we did something wrong. We basically repeated ourselves several times. The food was of great quality, but I don't think the service did it any good with the overall experience. Very disappointed... a good day ruined.

They emphasize fresh made ice cream ..it's not too sweet or too creamy , just quite right. It's a much more interesting experience and you mix the sugar coated jelly and red bean together provide really wondeeful combination of several texture in your mouth..

Amazing ice cream and tea. The tea is free for each order and is amazing and deep. The menu isn't in English so be prepared to use google translate if you don't speak Japanese! We got the three scoop sampler and the tiramisu parfait. Surprisingly all the ice creams pair perfectly with the tea and it's a texture that shows passion in the creation. They see ice cream as an art. Not just another dessert.

Eating ice cream in Gion’s Old geisha district is a serious endeavor in a tea house converted ice cream place. It’s hard to spot from then outside, and even when peaking through the blinders it’s impossible to tell what’s inside. The superb Japanese ice cream is made every day from scratch, and served with tea upstairs. I’ve had roasted soy bean (yummmmmm!), intense matcha and a seasonal flavour called „yomogi“, or mugwort in English, which is a green sunflower plant. Overall, the best Japanese ice cream I‘ve ever had before.

Well what can I say this is one of the best dessert places I've eaten at in Kyoto. The signature parfait has all the right ingredients including berries, yogurt, mochi and three different flavors of ice cream. The location is a little difficult to find, but once you do your well rewarded. The kinoko ice cream was a favourite but their other flavours also excelled when compared with the same flavour from other locations. The strawberry ice was also very good for taking the heat out of a hot day.
