About Tsukigase
The secret of the confectioner’s art, handed down over generations from the first master, lies in carefully selected ingredients.
The origin of the cafe goes back to Wakasaya Yoshikatsu, a traditional Kyoto-style confectionery shop, which opened in 1926 in Shijo Kawaramachi. The shop was accompanied by a small corner cafe.
There they served Anmitsu, a dessert of agar jelly with sweet red bean paste, and Zenzai, sweet red bean soup with rice cakes, using ingredients such as Tamba red beans and string agar, an ingredient used for Kyoto confectionery. They became the talk of the town and led to the opening of the current cafe.
The shop name comes from a village in Nara, famous for the rich scent of plum flowers. Supported by our customers over the years, the secret art has been passed down to a 4th generation.

内観も、御座敷があったり、和で統一されていて、涼しく過ごすことができます。
口コミで来たというお客さんが多かったように思います。

たぶんかき氷が有名です。
抹茶も良いですが、私は少し珍しい梅氷と言うものを頼みました。
梅シロップがかかっているので甘さとすこし爽やかさが味わえます。
店内はそれほど広くないのでタイミングによっては入店まですこし待ちます。
お座敷の席は可愛らしい赤いお膳が印象的でした。

The cute red set was impressive for the seats in the tatami room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 平日の金曜日4時過ぎに訪問。緊急事態宣言が明けた直後でしたが京都の街には修学旅行生や観光客が多く見られました。
お店はすぐに入れましたが満席に近かったです。
なかなか食べる機会が無くてずっと食べたい！と思っていた粟ぜんざいを初めて食べました?
注文後に蒸し始められるので10分弱かかります?
出来立てが食べられるなら全然待てる時間です?
上品な蓋付きの器で出てくるので開けるのも楽しみですね。
つぶつぶモチモチの粟餅に上品な甘さの熱々のこし餡がたっぷり♥塩昆布も嬉しいです。初めて食べて大好きになりました♥
Visited after 4 o'clock on weekday Friday. Immediately after the state of emergency was declared, many school travelers and tourists were seen in the city of Kyoto.
I entered the shop immediately, but it was almost full.
I haven't had a chance to eat and I want to eat forever! I ate the millet zenzai I thought for the first time ?
It takes less than 10 minutes because you can start steaming after ordering ?
If you can eat freshly made, it's time to wait at all ?
It comes out with an elegant lid, so I'm looking forward to opening it.
The crushed fluffy millet mochi has plenty of hot rice cakes with an elegant sweetness ♥ Salt kelp is also nice. I ate it for the first time and loved it ♥

月ヶ瀬クリームあんみつは、バニラアイスか抹茶アイスか選べます。
また、プラス100円で白玉３個追加できます。
甘くて美味しい♪
お店の方の接客も良く、一人でもゆっくり出来ました。
夏はまたかき氷を食べに行きたいです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ずっと我慢しててやっと食べに来れて幸せ感じました。ここの粟善哉めっちゃ大好き♡粟餅たっぷりだしこし餡たっぷりだし最高です。曜日を間違えて出てきたので周りは2人組ばかりでちょっと恥ずかしかったけど...。1人でも落ち着くお店です。
外は賑やかでも店内は静かです。
14日（日）は流石に会話デカイ人いるから賑わってるけど平日はとても静かです。
時間をわすれてしまう位にです。
店員さんも帰らす素振りもなく、ゆっくり居させてくれるのでとても良心的なお店です。
コロナ化で制限するお店増えてるけど、ここは別です。ファンが増えても困るけどでもここは別です。
店内も可愛いので、是非に食べに行ってみてください。京都市内住まいなので、また買い物前に食べに行きます。次は何を食べようかな〜
I've been patient for a long time and finally came to eat and felt happy. I really love Awa Zenya here ♡ It's a lot of mochi and it's a lot of soup stock. I was a little embarrassed because there were only two people around me because I came out on the wrong day of the week. It is a shop where even one person can calm down.
The outside is lively but the inside is quiet.
It's crowded on the 14th (Sunday) because there are big conversation people, but it's very quiet on weekdays.
I'm about to forget the time.
It's a very conscientious shop because the clerk doesn't have to go home and let me stay slowly.
The number of shops that are restricted by corona is increasing, but this is not the case. It would be a problem if the number of fans increased, but this is not the case.
The inside of the store is also cute, so be sure to go eat it. I live in Kyoto, so I will go to eat again before shopping. What should I eat next ~

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 祇園、行き交う通りに、入口付近が小さくつい見過ごしてしまう甘味処、奥の店内は思ったより広い。想定外にオススメの苺あんみつが美味しい、白玉が柔らかい、苺ソースと練乳ソースが二度目の美味しさに連れて行ってくれた。若い方々だけでなく、シニアのご夫婦や御高齢の方々も次々に入店、こういうお店が親しみやすい京名店なのかな(^^)
Gion, a sweets shop where the entrance is small and overlooked on the streets that come and go, the inside of the store in the back is wider than I expected. Unexpectedly recommended strawberry anmitsu is delicious, shiratama is soft, strawberry sauce and condensed milk sauce took me to the second deliciousness. Not only young people but also senior couples and elderly people enter the store one after another, I wonder if such a store is a familiar Kyomei store (^ ^)
