The soba are delicate and delicious. When I ordered, I wonder how I would finish 5 bunches, but I ended the meal wanting more. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. They will even provide an international menu that describes the shop and give you some insights to soba. The place has tatami and normal seats on the second floor.

Most amazing soba restaurant, serving the famous Togakushi soba noodles. Their tempura is lightly battered and elegant.

“The place” to have soba noodles in Togakushi. The staff are great & very helpful; the food absolutely wonderful. The wait can be amazingly long as this place is extremely popular. Best recommendation is put your game on the list as early as possible & ask the show staff about the wait... then go and explore the area to work up an appetite!!! We have been 3-4 times & will surely go again!!!

After visiting the Togakushi shrine, we wanted to try some local famous soba in Togakushi, and we found this store. The soba here is so refreshing and delicious, with nice tempura of mountain vegetables. And the view from the second floor is really nice too.

This is a long-established soba restaurant where you can enjoy Togakushi Soba, one of the three most famous local soba in Japan. The buckwheat noodles are made using a method unique to this region and are usually accompanied by spicy daikon(white Oriental radish), a local specialty, as a condiment, homemade pickles, and tempura made from seasonal vegetables and wild plants. Tempura of seasonal vegetables and mushrooms are freshly fried, crispy and very tasty with soba. The flavor of the soba noodles is also wonderful, and the depth of flavor of the soba sauce and the combination of the two is amazingly good. This restaurant is very famous in the area and it is always very crowded, so to make the most of your time, I recommend that you fill in your name and the time of your visit on the reception sheet at the entrance of the restaurant before it opens, visit the Togakushi Shrine and other tourist spots in the area first, and then come back after it opens to be admitted first. Also, please note that this store only accepts cash as payment. Oh, and there was one more thing I mustn't forget. There is a huge cedar tree right next to the restaurant that is over 800 years old, and eating soba while looking at it through the window and thinking about the history of this place is also very elegant.

The most delicious soba I’ve ever eaten. Great natural location. Gets very busy so you have to get there early. They don’t do phone reservations. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. This place is highly recommended for anyone near the area. A must go
