★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were so lucky to have seat here without reservation. The place was nice, the staff were nice too. To be respect, one person must order individual food. Four of us were arranged in a private room. Highly recommend to come on weekdays. The food may change during seasons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden place. It’s an exquisite place for toufu cuisine. It’s a v nice first time experience to try and have a dinner with friends as the service was good and u have personal space. Was lucky to have a table as the place seems to be usually pack . Seasonal food/menu. Each pax must order a set menu. I would say 80% of the dishes are wonderful with the beautiful plating. But certain dishes is just v normal. We didn’t enjoy the dessert for sure , it’s taste like so medicinal herbs grind into paste . Do find the price abit over for the food but for the experience and place n service is worth a try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ High class expensive restaurant that specializes on tofu course meals. The service is extraordinary. The presentation of the food is beautiful. Each dish has to be eaten slowly to fully capture the taste. The atmosphere gives a Japanese style interior decoration.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are visiting Kyoto and wondering if you should spend some money to eat Tofu, please go to this restaurant. This was an absolutely discovery for me as with a quite reasonable price given the quality (around 5k yen). I was able to eat an incredible amount of different tofu dishes, and they were all delicious. I'm not sure it is hallowed by the restaurant, or simply frown upon, but if you pick the least expensive dinner menu, there's definitely enough food for two, also because you can ask for refills of their boiled tofu!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seasonal, exquisitely plated cuisine centered around tofu (but also including fish and meat). All dishes focus on their exceptional soy products (including the dessert which was soy milk ice cream). Each dish was a delight and had a delicate unique taste that evolved as the dinner progressed. We walked in during lunch time but couldn't get a spot for three so we reserved for later that night and were lucky to get a spot on a Monday night. It was highly recommended by my Japanese host mom. Definitely check out this place for some fresh local kyoto cuisine!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First meal in Kyoto, lucky my friend made a reservation because it was fully booked during weekends. Its my first full tofu meal course, very interesting concept and I did enjoyed. But I feel like it's missing some punch. I was craving for other things food after the meal. Staff was friendly and they do have English menu, so it's alright if you speak Japanese.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing restaurant. They can make hundreds of different dishes using only one major ingredient: tofu! We chose a set menu, which contains about 10 dishes. Every dish is very tasty! The decorations of the interior and exterior are traditional and beautiful. Overall an excellent dinning experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really lovely experience at this tofu restaurant in Kyoto. We did not book in advance but arrived just before opening to book a table for lunch and got 2 seats at the counter.
Service was friendly and super quick... almost felt a bit rushed as I was trying to take pictures and taste it all. Shoes to be removed and left at the entrance.
I had the Miyabi lunch which had a huge assortment of dishes. I loved trying them all even if they weren't all to my taste although most of them were great. Agree with other reviewers that the seasoning was on the lighter side. Presentation was beautiful!
Prices are at the higher end but worth it for the experience.
