★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Japanese restaurant at the hearth of Kyoto's nightlife. Tried the seasonal menu for 9000 ¥ and found it overall good. The main dish, Kobe beef based, was incredible and the meat perfectly cooked. Nice selection of wines.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice spot for a breakfast, as advised by our ryokan receptionist in Kyoto. 800 Yen for a complete breakfast including soup, fish, salads, omelette and rice ; it is a really good value. Not wheelchair accessible unfortunately. They separated Japanese people and the rest (western tourists) in two different rooms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No reservation was booked. The front yard was nice with neat decoration. Ordered Kobe beef meal and the portion was surprisingly huge. Was well fed and wife ordered seafood plate which the shrimp was sooooo huge. The service was good but the food took awhile to serve.
