★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 平安時代末期、京都祇園から勧請されて以降、岩切村内を転々とし、寛永年間に伊達政宗公によって現在地に遷宮された神社。塩竈の志波彦神社が明治七年に現在地に遷祀されるまでは、ここ、八坂神社の境内社として鎮座されていた由。明治十年、志波彦神社の摂社として、冠川神社がその跡地に遷座し、現在に至る。また、末社として、稲荷神社と愛宕神社が鎮座するほか、牛頭天王像も祀られている。御朱印あり。社務所の方の対応が親切丁寧。
A shrine that has been relocated to its current location by Date Masamune during the Kanei era, after being solicited by Kyoto Gion at the end of the Heian period. Until Shiogama's Shiogama Shrine was relocated to its current location in the 7th year of the Meiji era, it was enshrined here as the precincts of Yasaka Shrine. In the 10th year of the Meiji era, the Kangawa Shrine was relocated to the site of the Shiogama Shrine as a Setsumatsusha, and continues to this day. Inari Shrine and Atago Shrine are enshrined as the last shrines, and the statue of Gozu Tenno is also enshrined. There is a red stamp. The correspondence of the office staff is kind and polite.

1190年に高森城主が京都祇園の八坂神社を勧請して創建。遷宮や地域の神社を合祀して今に至る神社…との事です。
志波彦神社の摂社があるなど興味深い神社です。境内は綺麗で地域の方に崇敬されているのが判りますね。
