★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2011年の東日本大震災前、この冠川神社の敷地は木々に覆われて周囲の住宅地とは明らかに違う雰囲気を持っていました。
それは冠川という名の由来である志波彦神への畏敬だったのでしょう。
志波彦神の乗馬する白馬が七北川のみな底の石に躓き、その拍子に志波彦神は冠を落としてしまったそうです。
その冠がこの地に流れ着きお稲荷様の眷属であるキツネがその冠を拾ったといわれています。
その場所にお稲荷様をまつり冠川神社としたそうです。
ここのお社は、周囲の人から篤い信仰をあつめ手付かずの木々に覆われていました。
震災のために伐採しなければならなくなり、残された切り株の太さからもこの神社への崇拝の念を思わせます。
 Before the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, the site of this Kanmurigawa Shrine was covered with trees and had an atmosphere that was clearly different from the surrounding residential areas.
It must have been an awe for Shiwahiko Shrine, the origin of the name Kangawa.
Hakuba, on which Shiwahiko God rides, stumbled on the stones at the bottom of the Shiwahiko River, and Shiwahiko God dropped his crown.
It is said that the crown flowed to this area and the fox, a genus of Inari-sama, picked up the crown.
It is said that Inari-sama was held at that place as the Kangawa Shrine.
The shrine here was covered with untouched trees, gathering grave faith from the people around it.
Due to the earthquake, we had to cut down the trees, and the thickness of the stumps left behind reminds us of worship at this shrine.
