★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rent on 04/12/19 in the morning about 9:30 am, small women staff in men section on the 3rd floor not so nice. She not helpful and also have flu, at least she has a mask but she alway cought when she suit the cloths for me. And I dont know why I come first but she serve people who come after me and leave me waiting.
Also have to wait very long quite to be finish. Better to choose other store if you dont want to wait for a long time. It took me around 40-50 mins for waiting.
By the way, not so much range of choice for me, the color is quite limited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had another rental place in mind when we arrived in Kyoto, but they had a waiting time while this one, when we arrived, was quiet - so in we went!
The girls got all geared up with very helpful staff and a peaceful, pleasant shop environment (plus some seating for the boys (who weren't getting dressed up) to relax on while waiting).
They were very happy with how it turned out and it's a short stroll to the geisha district and some nearby parks and shrines for photos - so couldn't be more convenient.

Even though the staff didn't know a lot of English, they helped us with everything we need.
We picked a yakuta and a kimono, water quickly and professionaly dressed, got an amazing hair traditional style with loads of flowers and exccories.
Took about an hour for the whole process.
You should reserve a place at least a day before.
They have man and children kimono too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly and warm welcome staffs. I rent a kimono from here. They are well made and elegant. The location is superb. You can enjoy the late afternoon tour at yasaka shrine before returning the costume. Hight recommended!
