Yes it is a halal restaurant the food is mediocre for my taste there are limited options but nevertheless we were happy to have chicken after sometime of going vegetarian Their croquette though was great I would recommend to have them from their takeaway menu And the view and ambience of the place was perfect as it was starting to rain

Lots of different shops and things to buy. Prices are pretty much the same shop to shop, so if you like something just buy it.

Very nice food in a good setting but very expensive price. Service is quick, altho the food took a while to come. Food was cooked well and was delicious, lots of different flavours, but it came at a very steep price! Recommended if not on a budget.

Very good restaurant. Very nice atmosphere. Large variety of gluten-free dishes and vegan dishes. They also have a very nice children dish. We enjoyed it very much.

Great vegetarian (vegan) menu! The one that they define vegetarian I asked the chef and it was vegan and tastier than the other that is signed like vegan one. They also bring the tofu to cook on your table in the soy milk. The deep fried stuff were amazing.

Finally!!! I eat the halal unagi bento in Japan. Wish checked! Hahaha silly but yeah, it's on my wishlist. I don't know how to spell the restaurant's name tbh, but I love them. They're soo muslim friendly. They have halal certificate and they have musholla (prayer room) in the building, just ask the staff and they will guide you how to use it. We were lucky to meet fellow Indonesian who worked as their waitress so we have no difficulties in ordering food. I ordered unagi bento, but my friend ordered an interesting menu. They had soup served in a bowl that made from paper that cannot burnt. Fascinating experience. I'm just so glad that finally I had experience to eat in authentic Japan restaurant with no worries after consuming sushi and onigiri from the convenience store since the first day in Japan. ?

Very accomodating for a Muslim customer as myself, the halal food was excellent! I got a tempura ricebowl, soba, tofu and strawberry squash, and it was delicious! Also, we asked for a prayer room and it was wonderful. Size just perfect for 2~3 people in one time, male female separated, also very calming and relaxed atmosphere. The establishment also sells Kyoto souvenirs, from food to scarves, and everyone can try out some great ice cream or yuba (fried tofu) and cheese here. It's located very near to the Togetsukyo Bridge, so after a meal, you can relax on the bank of the river while enjoying snacks bought from the nearest vendors.
