★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You have to eat here, It was expensive but it is the real thing. 6 of us had the 6 course meal it was fantastic. Great drinks and really fun, we met lots of locals that were so happy to see Americans, dig'n their vibe.

My fiancé has never heard of Kaiseki before.
We were greeted warmly by the owners there. Their English was limited, but there was an English menu.
It’s a set course and you choose among four different entrees with photos, so it wasn’t difficult to order.
As for the food, this was beyond food. It was art. Eating here has inspired me to improve the presentation of my own cooking.
This is one of the few meals in my life that I will never forget.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food with wonderful presentation, and even better service. The best kaiseki meal during our 11 day trip in Kyoto. Can choose 8, 9, or 10 courses. We had a private room with table and chairs. Our 9 courses for two people cost around 13,600 yens, very reasonable price for fine dining anywhere in the world. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent food with excellent service. Beautiful display and good flow design. Every course shows the dedication of the chefs effort. Each course is good and the flavors are well balanced.
Ambience is quite and relaxing at the center of Arashimaya area. Price is very reasonable with its quality. Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went there for dinner with my girlfriend. We took the course for around 9200 yen per person including the standard course with 7 dishes and 3 additional ones.
The taste of the dishes was very unique, the look was very good. The staff was very friendly too. It is very convenient, that every group has there own room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service and great place for groups. Just be warned that the set meals range from 6000-8000 yen per person. This includes about 8-10 traditional Japanese dishes. It's not something I've ever tried so it was nice. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful even though she didn't speak English and us Japanese. She explained and demonstrated how to eat each dish. I'd recommend it if you're already in the area, want a bit of AC relief and money isn't too tight.
