★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s one of my favorite park in Kyoto. I like to take my baby here for walk in the push chair. There’s famous shrine just in front of the park, also Starbucks cafe and convenience store.
Handmade market is held once a month, every second Saturday. Which is interesting to see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice, quaint little park. Near various culturally interesting places such as shrines, temples, and Noh theaters. Also near various restaurants and food places. Area is quite nice, but the park itself has little to do other than sit around. It is also quite small, so expect to be around relatively close proximity with other people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean park right in front of Heian Shrine, the Rohm theater, Kyocera Museum, Kyoto library, and several very popular restaurants (and a Starbucks), one of which (Kyoto Mpdern Terrace) has outdoor dining with a view of the Park. The park is frequented by tourists and locals, including a fairly regular dog walking crowd. The park is also the site for numerous festivals, outdoor fairs and events, making it a great attraction for the area.
