Service is superb even by Kyoto standard. The set menu included couple unique flavor of tofu and, in general all good. We ordered some 5 pieces sides as well but it was not necessary. The dessert in the end was full of Kyoto elements, and definitely one of the best I had.

The smallest lunch set menu is ¥2400 and you get to try many different types of tofu and some small pickles and it’s not overwhelmingly too much food which is the problem for most tasting menu. The black bean tofu skin is my favorite.

Others meal were behaving good as well, small volume for each plate and wouldn’t feel not enough for me, some of male would probably need to order more main dish. Don’t accept credit card and the table only has 4, so better to book or make a call before you go.

While we didn't speak any Japanese, we eked along just fine. A reservation seems to be easiest, we waited... it is so worth it. The varieties of tofu, how they differ, how so many delicious flavors can be made, make a fantastic experience.

Out of 9 dishes, I personally not fancy with the tofu in soy milk. While the rest is delicious! Located in the alley of Gion, which actually took us some time to find the shop by using Google map.
