Forget the temples, if you have to do one thing in Kyoto, you must try the wagyu beef, it's the best I ever tried in my life, incredibly tasty !!!

If you would enjoy the maximum flavour from your steak with as little fat as you can get away with I would highly recommend this place. P.s. Don't be shy to ask Chief chef Yamamuro for an extra dose of Santory brandy on your steak.

Been here twice, fantastic food. Had the course menu both times, second time I also had the seared tuna which was very very nice too. The 100g serving sounds small but it’s cooked perfectly, and fattiness of the meat is at a level where that is actually likely to be enough. Highly recommend, great value too.

Had my first wagyu experience here at this restaurant! a little hard to find because it is located in the basement of the building, but staff was extremely friendly and food was great!

Amazing experience. It was my bf and I's first night in Kyoto. We made reservations for Ryoushikian for 6p. But while roaming the area, we got hungry and went to the restaurant at 5p when they first opened. They happily took us in. My boyfriend got the steak set which included a tofu appetizer, a salad, 100g wagyu sirloin steak, miso soup and red bean mochi and espresso for dessert (¥3800). I ordered just the wagyu sirloin steak which was ¥2700. I had a bite of everything my bf had and we were both kind of blown away by the great quality of the food considering the price was very affordable!! I'm so tempted to go back to try their premium steak (¥7900). I think this restaurant is underrated and I feel incredibly honored to have dined here! Service was great. There was someone that spoke English so it wasn't difficult communicating what we wanted. A note. We dined here tonight (Monday), but according to their Google account, it says they're closed on Mondays. If you're deciding on a steak restaurant, go here!

Amazing place with spectacular wagyu meat. Price and quality is really good. The chef is very kindly and good cooker. I'm from Barcelona, if I return to Kyoto I will definetely repeat! I recommend!

Tucked slightly away from the main Pontocho alley. Great vibe and delicious unpretentious meals. Enjoyed the steak here and my friend loved the duck liver dish he ordered.

Lovely hidden jewel in this little alley. Located at B1 with a shirt stair, the owner seems also has a sister brand on the first floor. The set course is superb and really value if you reserve your dinner online ahead of time. Steak and abalone are both well prepared teppanyaki style. The serving size might be a little short if you enjoy a big feast, but perfect for myself. Friendly staffs who also lended a mobile charger to us. Do try!
