My parents and I joined the 2 day photo tour with Leica Store Kyoto. The tour was coordinated by Koichi Nishimura of Leica Store Kyoto and renowned local Kyoto photographer Peter MacIntosh. The tour was excellently coordinated. Koichi went above and beyond expectations to ensure my parents and I had an absolutely wonderful experience. Naosuke-san the store manager and Koichi-san made us feel extremely welcome to the store. Naosuke-san if you are reading this, please ensure Koichi stays at Leica Store Kyoto! He is an extremely valuable team member of your store. Thank you Leica Store Kyoto for the wonderful memories and a two day tour of Kyoto I will remember for a long long time.

Small store kind of tucked away on the main strip. Amazing architecture!

Found it in an unexpected place. Nice little shop selling Leica cameras and accessories.

Perfectly located in the beautiful Gion district built in a very traditional Japanese design. Very friendly and helpful staff. In Leica Store Kyoto you will find a few products that are only available in this Leica Store. There is a small but beautiful gallery on the second floor.

The store alone is a work of art. Although the staff are not friendly. In a tourist area of well preserved older buildings.

This Leica store has embraced the Kyoto architecture beautifully. The first floor is the store with the second floor being a gallery that is absolutely worth seeing.

Elegant and classically Japanese showcase for Leica products (think $12000 lens) in the heart of Gion, the Geisha entertainment district of Kyoto. Upstairs gallery of god tier photographs by world renown photographers. Staff is, however, not friendly, or welcoming.

If you're a Leica fan, please take time to check this store out. They carry rare cameras such as the Leica M edition 60. The layout of the store perfectly matches the outdoor Kyoto scene. Inconspicuous entrance with a wooden sliding door. Very friendly staff members. Ms. Tsukabe, who was working at the time didn't make me feel comfortable. She didn't seem very friendly. I said hello to her first and she kept her distance, eyeing me. She seemed friendly to other Japanese customers who came by but really not friendly to us. The men were very polite. Mr. Nigata helped us with the purchase of a Yosemite mountain strap for our M6. He took great care in putting a screen protector on our M10 for us, thank you very much for your time and professionalism. They have a beautiful gallery on the second floor with large wooden tables to sit and a room in the back that is styled in a Japanese fashion. Check out the tatami room on the 1st floor, it looks like a studio set up. Uniquely designed store with high end quality camera gear. They offer workshops too! I wish I could be here for their workshop in September with Matt Stuart. They also have an elevator, wheelchair accessible entrance.
