★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to drop by before, or after, visiting the Kinkakuji Temple. They’ve english menu; good coffee with reasonable price. It’s like a local cafe with the cozy atmosphere. I’m very impress that they’ve Cafe Kahlau. Very recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped by after going to the Golden Pavilion just to rest up for a bit and figuring out what to do next.
It was a uniquely decorated cafe with staff in a butler attire. They have menus on the table (English ones on request) as well as a dessert cabinet to pick out some cakes.
There seemed to only be one person doing everything so it did take a bit of time to get everything we ordered (3 drinks and snacks).
This place did have one of the nicer pancakes in Japan that I had tried.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very very friendly and nice elderly couple is welcoming you in this old looking cafe. We were surprised that they offer a very modern and western breakfast and it was delicious! Best cafe so far in Japan and a lot of homemade ingredients! They even got WiFi here ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I stopped in while waiting at the bus stop. The couple who own the cafe were so kind and accommodating. There’s an English menu, and they spoke very good English. The food was just what we have been looking for on our stay in Kyoto. We both got the hot ham, egg, and cheese sandwich. I also got their specialty coffee that had gold flakes on top. Not only was the presentation of the coffee beautiful, but the flavor was strong and delicious.
