★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool place, looks great after sunset, and the pond with the dragon on it is beautifully sculpted. I didn't know about this place until I was just leaving after having spent the day at arashiyama. The kimono forest surrounds the train station, where the trains will take you into Kyoto.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our hotel recommended the Komono Forest since it was very close to us. We went after dark to get the full experience. It was lovely for photos and not very crowded during the week. We stopped by the station shops while there and did a sake tasting also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the many tourist attractions of Kyoto. It's located in Randen Arashiyama station. The colorful cylinder shaped pillars stand in rows. These pillars are made of fabrics used for making Kimono. These cylindrical pillars lights up after sunset creating a beautiful experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just visited this evening, and such a cool find. I didn’t know it existed until we stumbled upon it behind the food shops. I highly recommend stopping by for some photos in the evening. The fabric patterns are beautiful and the lighting is just right for some great shots.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in the late afternoon so I could see the installation in daylight and after sunset. It's a sight to behold either way but I like it better at night. It's quite a creative and really interesting way of showcasing traditional fabric - For me, definitely a lot more interesting than museum displays. I'm surprised there weren't many visitors when I went there especially since it is only a short distance from the Bamboo Grove. Hidden beneath some of the pillars is the Pond of the Dragon - the guardian of the station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The area occupied a small area near the station yet they were beautifully arranged. During spring, the Sakura tree near the station is bloom and made this place more beautiful. I really like all the kimono pattern

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful kimono Forest of Japan.
Went during the day so couldn't able to experience its night beauty.
There is a Hot spring for leg where you can relax and enjoy.
The are is small and limited and if you travel to the Arashiyama , you must visit this place too.
