地元旅行会社の者です。 数々の蕎麦を食べていますし自分でも蕎麦を打ちますが、これで蕎麦屋なんてよく言えるなぁ、と。地元民として恥ずかしい。 量が多く安価なだけ。 まず蕎麦は太いだけ。蕎麦の香りが無いどころか大量の海苔で磯の香りが優っています。 つゆは出汁の風味が全くしません。蕎麦につけても風味が広がるどころか、「何を食べさせられてるのか?」と疑問に思うほど。 天ぷらは素人以下です。エビは写真の通りですし、舞茸は半生、天ぷらの下は油にまみれています。 呆れてものも言えませんでした。 お昼どきでサラリーマンが多かったのは、安く早いのが理由でしょう。 これを読んだ方が貴重なお金と時間を無駄にすることがありませんように…。

40年ほど前、テレビでこの店を知り「行ってみたい」と思いましたが、当時東京に住む小学生が行けるわけもなく。 数年前、旅行で訪れた時に店まで行ってみましたが、大行列だったので断念。 今回、平日の午後2時過ぎに訪れたところ、駐車場に止まってるのは数台で、店内も客は数組。 ざるそばの普通をオーダー。40年越しの念願のそばで、盛りは期待どおりでしたが、他のコメにもあるように、正直、味は普通。以前、長野駅のそば屋で食べたそばは「うまい!さすが長野!」となりましたが、この店のそばは、はっきり言って東京の大衆そば店と大差ありません。 とはいえ、この盛りで800円というのはコスパはいいです。遠くからこの店を目当てに訪れるのではなく、近所の方が普段使いにするのがいいかもしれません。

友達から勧められて来店。11時開店直後に行ったのに既に6人のお客さんがお蕎麦を食べていて、私たちの後にも続々とお客さんが来店。 普通盛りのざるそばと、冷やしたぬきを注文したが、、、その量の多さにビックリ。 蕎麦はコシが強く太い。こんなに太い蕎麦も初めて食べた。とにかく量が多くて、主人は食べきれなかった。天ぷらもサクサク、熱々、大盛りで美味しかった。 定員さんがとても感じが良くて♡ 人気店なのに奢りが全く無く素敵な店☆☆☆☆☆

上田には何回か来ていましたが、営業時間が11時~17時と短く行列ぶりが凄いと の事で中々行くことが出来なかった刀屋。 行ったのは平日でしたが行列を警戒してオープン直後の11時過ぎに来店。 行列こそ無かったものの店内には既に4組のお客さんがいました笑 量は結構多いとの口コミは多かったのですな、せっかく来たのでとろろ蕎麦の普通を注文。 予想はしてましたが到着するとかなりのボリューム。そして見た目から噛みごたえのありそうなワシワシ系の太蕎麦。 更科系の蕎麦が好きな方は寄せつけない蕎麦の歯ごたえとキリッとしたつゆの味。 値段も都心の蕎麦専門店に比べると650円~と格安でタイミングがあえばまた再来したいお店でした。

The texture of the soba and the crisp taste of the soba. The price is cheaper than the soba specialty store in the city center, starting at 650 yen, and I wanted to come back again if the timing was right.

We had such an unforgettable time at Katanaya in 2009 and we so wanted to go back there again to try their best soba! Oh how I miss them! I can only look at the photos I took and relish every moment of it.
