The plum blossoms were progressing, but the red plum blossoms in the precincts would bloom for about 5 minutes. The white plums in the blue sky background are beautiful. There is no admission fee, but I visited the Buddhist altar properly.

Kaizō Temple, 海蔵寺 Kaizō-ji, dates from 1253 although it was rebuilt in 1394 after being completely destroyed by fire in 1333 during the fall of the Kamakura shogunate. It is known for its wild apple tree which blooms in April, its yagura (cavities carved into the rock), its garden, the legends associated with the Sokonuke well and Kūgai, the monk who ruled the temple after its reconstruction, and the 16 wells which said to have been dug by Kūkai (774-835), Japan's most famous monk. 1️⃣ In one of the yagura of the temple is a torii and a stone statue of Ugajin, the Shinto deity of fertility and harvests. 2️⃣3️⃣ Ryūgoden, the main pavilion. 4️⃣ Inside the Yakushi-dō is, among other things, the image of Yakushi Nyorai 薬師如来, the healing Buddha (in the center). 5️⃣ Entrance to the cave of the sixteen wells. 6️⃣ The sixteen cavities are each supposed to represent a bosatsu, a Buddha who has not yet reached enlightenment. At the bottom are a statue of Kannon, the goddess of compassion, and Kūkai. Located about a quarter of an hour on foot from Kamakura station, the temple is not too crowded and is peaceful and relaxing.

There is a bottomless well and Rokunoi, one of the ten wells in Kamakura. The road to Rokunoi is also worth a visit. The flowers such as cherry blossoms that bloom in the precincts are also beautiful.

A temple located about a 20-minute walk from Kamakura Station. The autumn leaves in the temple and on the road in front are beautiful. It is also a famous spot for autumn leaves. You can see the bells and autumn leaves beautifully. Unlike cherry blossoms, the autumn leaves have a long period of time, so it's a good place. Also, it is one of the pleasures that the gradation is applied while the color changes from green. A taxi is recommended as you walk from the station. In the case of a taxi of 2km 500 yen, it was 700 yen to Kaizoji. If you come by car, there is a parking lot on the left side in front of the temple, but the road is narrow, so be careful not to pass each other. Admission is free, but you can also get a red stamp. (The red stamp paid 300 yen) It may be a good idea to take a taxi to go and walk for a walk on the way back.

Free parking available. The temple itself is not so much interesting...

Kaizoji is an often-overlooked temple and garden in Kamakura, as it is a bit out of the way and off the tourist beat. As Kamakura becomes more and more mobbed with mass tourism, places like this are favorites for those who dislike crowds. The Japanese garden behind the temple is almost never open to the public, but it can be seen (at a distance) by following the trail around the back.

Kaizoji Temple is one of Zen Buddhism temple in Kamakura area, and famous as a temple of flower and water.  Thatched roof house is on the right side of the mail hall. This is used as the priest's living quarters and the temple's kitchen. One of famous wells in Kamakura is in front of the temple entrance. In the temple precinct, there is a rock cave and Uga deity is enshrined. Uga deity has a human face and a snake body. Walking about 50 meter to the south from the main hall, "Sixteen Wells" are in a rock cave. It is said that Japanese great priest named Saint Kobo dug these wells, and the wells has been full of sacred water for 800 years. A Kannon Bodhisattva is enshrined at the center. This temple is quiet compared to other popular temples and has solemn atmosphere but I liked there.
