I visited around 9:30 am on December 29, 2020. No one was visiting, probably because of Corona or because I went early in the morning. Since I came for the first time, I didn't know where it was at first. I went to the grave of Masako Hojo and Minamoto no Sanetomo on a detoured road from Jufukuji because there was a risk of landslides on the road to the grave of Masako Hojo and Minamoto no Sanetomo.

One of the more famous words spoken by Masako Hojo is a speech given during the Jokyu War, in which the samurai government in Kamakura and the public government in Kyoto were in conflict. The Kyoto side was an army backed by the imperial family, Emperor Go-Toba, and its authority was great and awe-inspiring. On the other hand, the Kamakura side is nothing more than a group of local gentry who have lost the blood of the descendants of Seiwa Genji, who are directly related to Yoritomo, and who have the shape of a regent. There was such a clear “gap”. "It's the last word of the sword. Since the late Shogun Shogun, who conquered the enemy and created the Kanto region, he has been called the official position, and his grace is already higher than the mountains and deeper than the clouds. . Rewarding Shiasa Kara. Therefore, now, depending on the praise of the rebels, he will give an unrighteous motive. However, those who want to come to the hospital are the ones who can just say no. "(Source:" Azuma Kagami "After this speech, the Shogunate army attacked Kyoto with a large army of 190,000 flags, and the side of Emperor Toba. After defeating the army in various parts of the country, he occupied Kyoto. In words, it has the following meaning: "I think this is my last word, and I want everyone to listen with one heart. When Yoricho destroyed the enemy in the morning and opened the shogunate in Kamakura, everyone. Has gained his current position. Maybe Yoricho's grace is higher than the mountains and deeper than the sea. The command of the Emperor to defeat us is nothing more than the wisdom of the rebels. Let's defeat Miura Taneyoshi and others and take over the Shogun's work that continues until the morning. Still, those who want to be on the other side should leave immediately, "Masako said in this speech. Emperor Gotoba was only tempted by the surroundings, and the real enemies were Hideyasu Fujiwara and Miura Taneyoshi. He explained that this is important for the family. Originally, the samurai were said to have started arming local lords to protect their territory, and had individual master-slave relationships with influential houses. It is believed that a master-slave relationship such as "Grace and Service" was born after Yoricho opened the Kamakura Shogunate. It is thought that Masako tried to move her heart by emphasizing the grace since Yoricho to the moving lords. It is Masako's words that changed the tide of the battle and led the Shogunate army to victory, historically. It can be said that it is a long-term work. Please forgive me for any misunderstandings.

If you search on YouTube, you will find a video. #Hojo Masako Cemetery Speaking of the female chief of Kamakura, this person, Masako Hojo. At the end of the Heian period, the empress turned the world over by making him say buoy to the Heian clan. It's been 800 years since then. I'm sleeping quietly here now.

I passed through Kamegaya Kiritsuri from Kita Kamakura and stopped by this graveyard. Inside the yagura unique to Kamakura, there is a five-wheeled tower that is said to be the tomb of Masako and the real morning. I was wondering if there would be a lot of people due to the big river drama, but since it was in the morning, no one was there, so I was able to calmly visit with incense.

Second time? You can go to the graveyard in the back of Jufukuji Temple, but you can see the explanation board is tattered, there are several similar memorial towers in Yagura, which one is from Minamoto no Sanetomo and Hojo Masako, and the inscriptions are not well photographed. I am at a loss because there is no such thing. However, in the case of Minamoto no Sanetomo, there are traces of a well for producing hot water in Mitsuzuka and Masako Hojo Izu Nirayama just a short walk from Hadano Station, so it is unknown whether they were from those days. Considering that the size and corners are not broken, is this a thing of a later era? There is no doubt that it is a valuable historic site, but the circumstances of the temple.

The yagura of Hojo Masako is on the left, not far on the right is the yagura of Minamoto no Sonetomo, her son, the 3rd shogun of Kamakura period.
