Hotel Universal Port - Osaka

For those who have allergies. Hotel itself is good but minorities are eliminated. In Japan, the number of hotels that provide information on 7 major allergens + 21 allergens is increasing. However, at this hotel restaurant (ORIX group), those who are allergic to anything other than the seven major allergens (milk, eggs, wheat, shrimp, crab, buckwheat, and peanuts) cannot eat anything. They never tell you if they use anything other than the seven major allergens. When I asked what to do if the person was allergic to 21 allergens, they said, "bring a meal" or "Not come to the restaurant." There is no low allergen menu. Their website states (only in Japanese language), "If you are allergic to food, please tell employees in advance when making a reservation." However, if you tell them in advance, they will told, "No meals or information, do not come." Eventually we 4 person canceled breakfast, 8000 yen refund. Of course, our child didn't want to be allergic, so I couldn't say why. The USJ itself provides information on 7 + 21 allergens and serves low allergen menus. Is it the USJ official hotel restaurant? Tokyo Disney Resorts and its official hotel provided information and low allergen meals. Is it due to a difference of the Hotel grade? I asked the hotel to state on other reservation sites that their restaurants are not compatible with people with allergies. I would like them to work hard to become an official hotel restaurant that is worthy of USJ, rather than a second-class restaurant that protects them by eliminating minorities. アレルギーをお持ちの方へ.マイノリティーは排除されます. アレルゲンは７大＋それに準ずる２１アレルゲンの情報提供が進んできていますが、ORIXが経営するこのホテルでは、7大アレルゲン（乳、卵、小麦、えび、かに、そば、落花生）以外に対するアレルギーを持っている方は食事は食べられません。使用しているのか、そもそもその原材料を購入しているのかについても決して教えてはくれません。 ７大ではなく、２１アレルゲンのアレルギーがある人はどうすべきか聞いたところ、「食事を持ち込む」もしくは「レストランに来ないでくれ」ということでした。低アレルゲンメニューの提供もありません。どうやらORIX全体の話のようです。 ホームページでは「食物などにアレルギーをお持ちのお客様は、ご予約、ご来館の際に、予め従業員へお申し付け下さい。」と書いてあるのに、いざ言ったら「食事も情報も出さない、来るな」、と言われるとは思いもしませんでした。結局４人朝食をキャンセル、８０００円返金。子供も好きでアレルギーになったわけでもないので、理由は言えませんでした。 USJ自体は食事形態に関わらず、７＋２１アレルゲンの情報、低アレルゲンメニューも提供もあります。USJのオフィシャルホテルを名乗っているのに残念です。TDRとそのオフィシャルホテルでは情報提供していました。ランクの差でしょうか。 他の予約サイトでも、アレルギーに対応していないことがわかるよう表示してほしい、とホテルの方にお願いしましたが、どうやら無理そうです。マイノリティー排除で保身する２流レストランではなく、USJにふさわしいオフィシャルホテルのレストランになるよう努力してほしいです。

It was a nice hotel in an extremely convenient location. Impeccable rooms with an amazing bathroom fitted with an amazing bidet and bathtub. The staff knew how to speak 3 different languages and the hotel itself as well as its surroundings was very aesthetically pleasing. There was amazing food and souvenirs available a right outside the hotel within walking distance.

Not the closet hotel to USJ but still only a couple minutes walk, rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staffs were very helpful!

+ convenient location close to the Universal park + have ticket machine in the lobby for guests, so can skip the queue and buy tickets before park opens + cool design elements featuring mignons + spacious rooms American style - very loud, can hear kids crying and neighbours next door - doors to the bathroom and toilet are beach style made of very thin material - can hear literally every little sound clearly - breakfast is so-so and don’t worth 2,500 JPY per person. Better go to Hollywood walk street 5 mins and have a decent breakfast there

Reasonable. A bit noisy at night, breakfast is not great for its cost, but maybe it is due to the low traffic currently. Uses to be better few years back. The staff remains really great . Very close to the park and station

Cool hotel close to City Walk and park entrance. Room was spacious and clean with a great view. Breakfast buffet was delicious.

The hotel was super clean and the staff were friendly. Parking cost ¥3,000. It would have been better if it was free for guest staying multiple nights. The elevators only work by scanning your key card. There are beer and hi-chu machines on the 7th through 14th floor. It is located right in front of the park. We had a park view which was amazing during the day and night. The walk to the park was maybe 5 mins. We walked through the city walk across the street. The only thing that I didn't like was their breakfast. They would have recieved all 5 stars if it was for the food options. There wasn't a variety of food. It cost way too much not to have enough food for guest to choose from. I would definitely stay again.

Pros: •Extremely convenient to the park/train •Nice guest rooms and very nice bathroom •Appreciated the extra amenities, tooth brushes, bath bubbles, etc. •Spacious room •Cute Minions theme for the kiddos Cons: •During our visit over the weekend of 10/9-10/11 no lunch or dinner service. •Guest room walls are paper thin. We could hear rowdy kids slamming doors and jumping up and down along with guests returning from the park at night. Extremely disruptive if you are attempting to go to sleep before 10:45pm. •Beds are very basic and firm, do not expect American hotel bed.
