★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 旧観自在王院庭園の前にある遺跡です。
鎌倉幕府が編纂した歴史書「吾妻鏡」には、観自在王院の南大門から延びる南北道の両側には数十町にわたり「倉町」があり、数十棟の「高屋」が建ち並んでいたと書かれています。
近年の発掘調査によって、倉町遺跡から太さ30〜40cmの柱で構成され、一部の柱穴では楚板に瓦が転用されている5x2間（約12.4x6.5m）の大型掘立柱建物2棟が見つかりました。
この大型建物は、建物の規模・柱の太さ及び総柱建物であることから、高床の建物が想定されており、「吾妻鏡」に記述のある「高屋」ではないかと考えられています。

Since this large building is a building with a high floor, because it is a building with a large scale, thickness of pillars, and total pillars, it is thought that it is a "Takaya" described in "Azuma Kagami".
