小	小椋明夫 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 藤原三代の三代目秀衡によって建立された浄土式庭園のある大寺院跡。道路（中尊寺通り）と線路（東北本線）に挟まれており、観自在王院跡に比較すると、全貌が捉えにくい。園内には台地上に建物跡と思われる遺構が複数残る。日没時はビュースポットになるらしい。 The ruins of a large temple with a Pure Land garden built by Fujiwara no Hidehira, the third generation. It is sandwiched between the road (Chusonji-dori) and the railroad (Tohoku Main Line), and it is difficult to capture the whole picture compared to the ruins of Kanjizaiōin. In the park, there are several remains that are thought to be building traces on the plateau. It seems to be a view spot at sunset.
史	史都多賀 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 今回はSL銀河の撮影で訪問致しました。ここは平泉訪問時に休憩のたびにの訪れていますが訪れる度に変わっています。発掘調査が最近有りその後随分変わりました。現在芝生再生中でほぼ工事も終わり池に完全に水が入り昔のいにしえの情景がよみがえるのが楽しみです。 This time I visited for photography of the SL Galaxy. This is a visit every time you visit Hiraizumi, but it changes every time you visit. Excavations have been made recently and have changed considerably since then. 3	358 PMP on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 遺構としては土塁や礎石が残るのみ。建物は幾度もの火災で焼失した。近年少しずつ復元整備が進んでおり、一部ではあるものの見ることが出来る。敷地全体が国の史跡および世界遺産に指定されており、広大な阿弥陀堂跡は国の特別史跡でもある。当寺院は奥州藤原氏の三代目である藤原秀衡が京都の平等院を模倣したものらしい。ずっと独自文化を形成していた平泉の地に京と遜色ない都市を作ろうとしていた表れとみる学者もいる。また、当時の浄土思想を色濃く反映したものだったと考えられている。 Only the earthworks and cornerstones remain as the remains. Some scholars see it as a sign of trying to create a city comparable to Kyo in the land of Hiraizumi, which has always formed its own culture. It is also believed to have been a strong reflection of the Pure Land Buddhism at that time.
神	神林泰成 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 平等院鳳凰堂を模して建てられた無量光院跡は柳之御所跡から歩いて 5分くらいのところにあります。毛越寺や観自在王院跡と比べると規模は小さいですが、建物があった当時が想像できる雰囲気のあるところです。 Built to imitate Byodoin Hoodo The ruins of Muryokoin are on foot from the ruins of Yanagi-no-Gosho It's about 5 minutes away. T	Tsukasa Yamashita on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 平安時代末に奥州藤原氏三代秀衡が建てた寺院の跡です。浄土庭園として知られ、三方が土塁に囲まれた境内には梵字が池と呼ばれる池跡があり、その中に本堂跡の礎石が残る西島跡と東中島跡があります。鎌倉幕府が編纂した歴史書「吾妻鏡」によると、「宇治の平等院を模す」と記されています。昭和27年（1952）に行われた発掘調査によって本堂の形などが、平等院鳳凰堂に似ていることが確認されました。 4月中旬と8月末頃には、本堂と東中島建物の中軸線上に位置する金鶏山の山頂に、夕日が沈む光景を見ることが出来ます。私の訪問時は残念ながら既に夕方で美しさ全開という感じでは無かったですが、それでもこんな所に世界遺産があるのかと思うと厳かな気持ちになりました。 It is the remains of a temple built by Fujiwara no Hidehira III at the end of the Heian period. Known as the Pure Land Garden, there is a pond trace called Sanskrit Pond in the precincts surrounded by earthworks on three sides, and there are Nishijima trace and Higashi Nakajima trace where the cornerstone of the main hall remains. According to the history book "Azuma Kagami" compiled by the Kamakura Shogunate, it says "Imitate Uji Byodo-in Temple". An archaeological excavation conducted in 1952 confirmed that the shape of the main hall resembled that of Byodoin Phoenix Hall. Around mid-April and the end of August, you can see the setting sun on the summit of Mt. Kinkei, which is located on the central axis of the main hall and the Higashi-Nakajima building. Unfortunately, when I visited, I didn't feel that the beauty was fully opened in the evening, but I still felt grave when I thought that there was a World Heritage Site in such a place.
