I was so happy to find the good place where I can have good lunch and coffee in Kyoto. The atmosphere is very cozy and peaceful. And I love this Japanese house!!! Sooooooo pretty and nostalgic. Really love it.

Edit: We asked to move to a table close to a wall socket so I could plug in my laptop that I was using to do work — and I was told rudely that’s not possible. How bizarre! It’s a cafe! We have only been here for under 1.5hr and paid for 2 lunches and 3 drinks. Gone from our favourite cafe in Kyoto to never going back!

C	Charlotte Sheh on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cafe Marble is the kind of cafe I wish we had back home and was the perfect cozy resting place after a long day of exploring. We got there as the sun was setting so we couldn't take advantage of their little garden that we saw in the back. The inside gave us a cozy cabin feel, with dim lights, comfortable chairs, and blankets. I'm not sure if there are seats upstairs but from the seats we saw on the first floor, there's not a lot of space to do any of our normal cafe activites (i.e. studying, writing, etc.). Nevertheless, for resting, it was perfect. Unfortunately for us, perhaps due to the late time of day, many of the items we wanted to try were out of stock and we were too full from our previous snacks to have a full meal. We settled for our second and third choices of lemon sour and tea au lait. They were fairly pricey for what they were, but the ambience made it worth it to us. I'll definitely go again to (hopefully) try out their other selections and their delicious sounding meals.

The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was inviting and calm, and it was super warm and toasty, perfect for the winter weather. They also served pretty good scones and decent salads. Next time, I want to try the quiche plate for lunch.
S	Sooa Kim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was the perfect place for the last day in Kyoto. The building was more than 100-year-long, and the cafe was for about 12 years. That’s why the interior was so antique and cozy, and even there was a small, japanese traditional style garden inside the cafe. I could choose the seat wherever i want, and i choose small seat right next to the garden. That was just so awesome experience. I ordered chicken and vegetable curry(which was 850 yen) with caffe latte (which can be ordered +200 yen at lunch time, 11:30-16:00). The curry has a deep taste, and it was mushrooms, pumpkin and radish, I’ve never known that radish makes such a wonderful harmony with curry. It was the best. I really enjoyed the meal and atmosphere of the restaurant. Staffs were also very kind and quite, looks like to try to not bothering customers’ own time. I truly recommend this place if you want to enjoy delicious, healthy meal with Japanese style garden and cozy interior.
