★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 村の鎮守さんで有り、この地方には珍しい能舞台を備えた八幡宮である。門を入ったところに石棺の蓋が立て掛けられているが特に見物するほどのものとは思えない
 The guardian of the village, Hachimangu is equipped with a Noh stage, which is rare in this region. A sarcophagus lid is hung at the entrance to the gate, but I don't think it's something to see in particular.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 八幡神社の随身門を潜った後、すぐ左右に狛犬ならぬ石棺が並んで参拝者を迎え入れてくれます。神社に石棺があるのは、他所でも存在する場所があるので受け入れられるのですが、なぜに左右に並べたのか？立たせておく必要があったのか？説明も何もないので後は参拝者自身が考えてほしいとの事なんだろうなと思います。個人的には狛犬の代わりと思うのですが・・

The fact that there are sarcophagus in the shrine is accepted because there are places where it exists in other places, but why did you arrange them side by side? Did you need to stand up?
