後藤山古墳

There is an old burial mound in the mountains. That is Gotoyama Kofun, designated as a prefecture-designated cultural asset. There is an explanation board saying that the entrance is closed from the tunnel, but the entrance is open and you can look inside. I think every time I visit old burial mounds, but I am surprised by the technological power and beauty that I made using megaliths. Next thing to note is that if you drive to the destination by following the map navigation, you will find Kuraya Public Hall. This time, you parked in the public hall parking lot and walked into the mountains while walking the rest. There is a landmark here along the road, but this is not possible. If you check the public hall on the aerial photograph screen of the navigation without going straight to the mountains, there will be a residential land under the burial mound, and the back side of the residential land will be the entrance to the burial mound. In front of the old burial mound, a fence is attached as a countermeasure against harmful animals, but there is a door for entering the mountain, so you will enter from there. There is a simple staircase up to the old burial mound, but it is easy to slip, so be prepared for your feet. On the way to the burial mound, this burial mound's house-shaped sarcophagus lid is on display. It is a splendid lid that seems to be heavy. I want to keep it from being overlooked when I visit.
