★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We tried the soup based Shoyu ramen, it was really good. People always think that Shoyu ramen is a little too light and lacks depth but this store proves otherwise, the soup has a complex flavour, highly recommend the thick version and having all toppings. Bit strange that they didn't allow us to sit at the counter (maybe reservations, or the fact that we are foreigners?) and service attitude was not the best but just rating on the ramen, it's still 5 stars for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Portion size was smaller than other shops and the taste was ok. Not horrible but not exceptional. Will satisfy your hunger at $¥750 but there are better options out there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stumbled upon this restaurant because we took the wrong bus. The ramen was surprisingly good. Not other-worldly good but quite nice. Staff are friendly and it has English menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A group of 8 + 1 baby decided to stop by to check out the dining scene. A lot of restaurants in Kyoto are unable to seat such a large group, but this place was able to do so.
The food was amazing. Almost all of us ordered the Tantan ramen. The broth was rich and diverse. It contained umami bombs all around. The staff were friendly and helpful. Language barrier was there but nothing google translate with the downloaded Japanese pack cant solve.
