★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent dipping noodles; second time visiting, a year after the first visit. The taste of the noodles left such an impression that we had to make a return visit when we had the chance. The dipping sauce is very unique and makes for a delicious soup when done with the noodles.
It's quite a small place but the queue moves fairly briskly. Instructions to order are relatively clear but might take a while for tourists unfamiliar with ramen places to grasp - tickets should be gotten from the machine before joining the queue, after which the chef would collect the orders for the group.
Worth a visit if in Kyoto.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had our first meal in this restaurant at our first night in Kyoto! As a renowned Tsukemen here, you had better quene in line prior to its opening time, or you would wait for a long while~ The ramen itself tasted chewy, while it would be even delicious if you soak it with Miso soup, which included two pieces of pork & was a little bit spicy because of the pepper & other seasonings. In a nutshell, you shouldn't miss this kind of authentic cuisine during your visit to Kyoto~ Highly recommended~

Order and pay at the machine.
Then we queue again to get a seat.
Broth is just nice, not too thick and not salty.
One of the best ramen in Kyoto.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best bowl of Raman noodles I've ever had in my life! The place is busy with tourists and locals. I had gotten the spicy version and added an egg. It was perfectly done.
Highly recommend this place If you're in Kyoto!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Slightly spicy-meaty broth with chewy noodles are a great combo. Best choice for ramen around Kyoto station that we have found so far! The owner was nice and relaxed, but didn’t speak English. There are English signs inside the shop, so it’s easy to order and to understand how to eat tsukemen. We'll come again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yesterday I got one of the most tasty tsukemen I tasted before, spiced soup with meat.
They have some Kombu-dashi hot and ready on the bar add to the soup and finished.
This makes my night because I always have a hard time with tsukemens ( the soup gets cold fast after you finish all your noodles)
Great idea.
Overall tasty place, the also have plants of signs I. English to make easy to order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not too bad, but not superb. A decent place to have a meal if I'm happened to be nearby. Wouldn't come purposely just for this meal.
Noodles volume was great, with good texture, broth was decent. No side dish to go with is a downside tho.
