S	Staff Art on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mirror in the corner, so that you can look at the toilett from the bed. Would be okay, if it was a single room, but this is a double! Warning: Koyto unlike Tokyo has some hidden tax per night, that are not covered by booking. Otherwise hands down, quite decent. Breakfast is solid (although i miss cheese, but thats a personal preference), staff is nice and the place looks fancy.
D	Dennis Bihel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the twin bed room which was a good size room especially for Japan. Nice roomy bathroom as well. WiFi wasn't the best, lost connection all the time. The spa was nice but doesn't allow tattooed people (don't know how strictly they inforce it though). Oh and lots of buttons on the toilet as it should be :)
E	Edward K (ETK19) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would like a refund. Took our money then would not let us finish our meal. Would not give us coffee from espresso area. Told us to get miserable tasting coffee from a thermos which is the same as the miserable free coffee near the elevator. We arrived at 9:45, and the old lady greeted us with negativity. They were fine taking our money before telling us to leave before finishing our meal and not giving us the good coffee. At 10 am she took our plates while we were eating and told us to leave. We thought we could at least continue to finish our food. Also design of lobby is that the restaurant takes all the nice view area and good seating, while hotel customers can only sit in a cubicle in the back or the elevator waiting area. Hotel is ok. Rooms are very clean. That is the only good thing.. Glass doors on bathrooms, roommates see you as you use the toilet. Twin rooms are small too high price.
S	Shahid Siddiq on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel is located very close to the kyoto Railway Station. The room is very compact but it's clean and the beds are very comfortable. You will also get Free WiFi, mini fridge and kettle in the room. It also comes with the safe facility in the room. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the massive shipping Mall and great restaurant etc.
A	A. Nonymous on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its a nice hotel, but a decent distance from the nearest train station and subway station. Staff are friendly and speak reasonable english. Especially the manager who seems to have spent time in the US, so his english is pretty nice. Rooms: Some rooms have bad ventilation. Due to this, some have a very bad odor and i was unfortunately put in one of those rooms. It smelled like someone put their dirty socks in the airconditioning. Nope... Nope nope nope! When i confronted staff, they gave me a different room without smell, but instead, they put someone else in my old room without adressing the issue. I know because the other person to get my room was our travel guide. Who complained about it as well. Onsen: Very decent yet nothing special. You can enjoy yourself here though. Breakfast: Same like most other Japanese hotels. The japanese stuff is decent, but they completely mess up the english breakfast foods. If you can get a good price, i recommend this hotel, but its not worth 100+ a night.
T	Trip.com Member on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a lovely experience. Everything in the hotel was still very new. The staff was very helpful at showing us the bus routes to get to everything. The location was superb. I didn't want to stay in the busy downtown area of shijo and nijo was close enough to everything. There's a 7-11 downstairs and a large supermarket just 3 minutes away. I would definitely stay again, in fact, my mother in law is coming to Kyoto in June and I've already said I'll book this same hotel for her.
L	Lydia Birt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is located not too far from the train station (about a slow 5 minute walk). You are only 2 stops from Kyoto station. There are a number of food options close by and cheap options including a 7/11. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained. The rooms are small but fairly roomy by Japanese standard. The bathroom is lovely and does not have a bath or shower curtain (always a big plus from me).

One uncomfortable thing was that the bathroom doors were see-through except for a patch of dots to semi conceal a person who was on the bathroom. It made myself and my roommate very uncomfortable to the point we hung up towels over the door to give us more privacy for using the restroom and showering. The layout if this hotel is mostly convenient. I unfortunately wasn't able to see the hot springs area for this hotel, and I wish I had been able to.
