w	wallapa d. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Value for its price. Super convenient location as the advantage. Everything is all around. Room size is good for average room size in Japan. Almost public transportation modes nearby. Nice staff. Recommend to access the hotel by the main entrance on street floor, not to walk by underground passage if you have luggages because there is no exit to access the hotel directly with escalator or elevator!

The only thing they have to do is to modernize the room. The pics are from the Kyoto Tower it is the same building, from the room to the top ?. Kyoto is amazingly beautiful ✨?

The quality of the room was decent, but cleanliness wasn’t as up to par as some of the other hotels I’ve stayed in while in Japan. Walls were dirty, carpets were torn and stained, etc. The Kyoto Tower Hotel does shine in accessibility though, while staying here, you’re close to all sorts of amenities.

Situated just opposite Kyoto train station, it has many shops and restaurants around and below and a very short walk to the places you'd want to be in its vicinity. The hotel itself is extremely dated and quite rundown. The room we stayed in (double) was extremely small and uncomfortable. The mattress in our room was uneven and definitely needs replacing. Thank God we stayed there for only two nights as we started to get back pain from the mattress. Pros: Location* *For the price you pay, book elsewhere. Plenty of other options and are a lot more modernised Cons: Outdated and old, very run down. Tiny rooms and old furnishings Extremely noisy and feels like each room is divided by cardboard. You can hear everyone and everything around you.

サ	サヤコk on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Room is big, bed is comfy. Bath tub gets clogged easily though; & with the current pandemic, their breakfast box is not worth the price (same price as their usual breakfast buffet?) It’s right in front of Kyoto Station so it’s easily accessible after a long trip.
V	V Yu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is very close to Kyoto Station, the central transportation point in Kyoto. The room is small to American standard, but is typical in Japan. The room is clean, has everything you need, plus extra items you can pick up in the lobby. The staff is nice and helpful. The lobby has a sitting area where you can get free drinks. WiFi is throughout the hotel, both in room and in lobby, and is free. The speed is ok without problem. I do recommend this hotel.

We stayed in the Western Japanese room and enjoyed the tatami area and extra space, especially traveling with 1yo baby. As others have mentioned, a little moldy in the shower, but otherwise felt clean. The breakfast is simply not worth it.
