It is a well trace that is said to be the remains of the Juraku No. 1 constructed by Hideyoshi Toyotomi. It seems that Hideyoshi made tea with the water in this well. The current situation is desolate.

It is in a vacant lot at the back of the alley. Is it privately owned? It's the remains of Jurakudai, but it's a shame.

I went there for the first time in 20 years. I was stunned by the devastated appearance, without the remnants of when I went there before. I got the impression that the adjacent house has disappeared, which is considerably wider than before. Previously, the narrow area that could be seen from the alley on the south side was the site of the rainy season well. When I went there 20 years ago, the area where the red-painted shrine was located is covered with fallen trees and the shrine is gone, so I wonder why it was built. Well, the glass that was fitted 20 years ago was broken and scattered, and it was tilted a little. There was a well on the west side, but is this the restored "rainy season well"? I feel like. Or rather, it should have been on the other side. Is this a place of historical value that is not managed locally and is abandoned? I think. However, at the time of the bubble, I already knew that this was in the Jurakudai moat, so it has no historical or cultural value. Well, it may just be out of reach due to ownership issues, but now it's just a devastated vacant lot. I think that the local residents who opposed the construction of the condominium at that time should manage it responsibly. It's too irresponsible. In this case, it would have been better if the condominium was built. [Added on June 21, 2021] I had the opportunity to browse the residential map of the 1950s, and when I compared it with the latest residential map, the place I first visited was "Tsuyu Well", but in reality it is "Yakumo Shrine". was. At that time, I entered the north from the alley of Omiya-dori Shimochojamachi Kamiru Nishiiri, but the narrow vacant lot there was the site of the former Yakumo Shrine and the alleys around it. At that time, it was said that "Tsuyu Well" was on the premises of a private house on the north side, so it is located diagonally opposite to the restored "Tsuyu Well". The "rainy season well" in the private house is said to have collapsed, and there are still pictures of it before it collapsed, but I don't know for sure. Currently, many of the surrounding private houses have been demolished, but there is a well left to the northeast of the site of Yakumo Shrine, so it may be the (restored) "rainy season well". There used to be the Otabisho of Toyokuni Shrine, a little south of this area, and there was also the "rainy season well". The well in the photo may be that of this Otabisho. The stonework of the well in the picture and the remaining well are different. It is also said that it was located on the west side of here, across Matsuyamachi-dori (Matsuyamachi-dori Shimochojamachi-jo-ru Nishiiri-ru north-to-go-ru).

When I went to the well of the rainy season, I could hear a story from the neighbors and showed me Ishigaki.
