It is said that this is where Fujiwara no Koretada's Ichijoin was located. It seems that this is the site of Nibo Ichimachi on the north side of Sakyo, Heiankyo.
In the back of the village of Emperor Ichijo, where Akiko Nakamiya, who served Murasaki Shikibu, lived, the inside of the house that Murasaki Shikibu wrote in the "Murasaki Shikibu Diary" is the inside of this Ichijo hospital.
Guide plate:
"Ichijo-in is a mansion adjacent to the northeast of Heiangu, and is famous as the back of the village of Emperor Ichijo (the back of Ichijo-in). Of the two towns in the east and west, the one on the west side was used as the palace, and the east side was a separate payment in charge of the attached finances and procurement of supplies.
This residence was handed down from Fujiwara no Senshi in the first half of the 10th century to his child, Koretamasa and Tamemitsu, and was bought by the wealthy recipient, Kinyuki. Dedicated to Higashi Sanjoin (Emperor Enyu's princess Fujiwara no Senshi). The Nyoin was rebuilt as the Imperial Palace of Emperor Ichijo, and was used as the inner lining of the village from the first year of Choho (999) to the burning of the inner lining (the inner lining was burned three times in the era of Emperor Ichijo) to the demise of the 8th year of the era (1011). Was done. In the eastern part of the city, there was a direct lieutenant of Michinaga, Shoshi Nakamiya's father and daughter. The inside of the diary written by Murasaki Shikibu, who served Akiko Nakamiya, was the inside of the Ichijo-in, which was the setting for the cultural salon during the Emperor Ichijo era.
In addition, during the Nanbokucho period, Nawa Nagatoshi, who defended Emperor Go-Daigo and contributed to the defeat of the Kamakura Shogunate and took a key position in the Kenmu Restoration, was in the 3rd year of Kenmu (1336) due to the Kyoto battle between the Emperor and Ashikaga. ) It is said that the place of the end of the war died on June 30, and it is now Nawa Children's Park, where a stone monument stands. 』\
