★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 正門からお寺に続く石段の傾斜が豊臣秀吉の聚楽第の堀を今に伝えているそうです。またこのお寺に坂本龍馬を暗殺したという疑惑の佐々木只三郎が滞在していたそうです。

It is a temple of Jodo Shinshu. The building is located 3 meters below the street. This decline is said to be the Juraku No. 1 south outer moat built by Hideyoshi in 1586.

周囲から２−３ｍ窪地になっていますので特徴的な場所です。
お寺自体は特に何があるわけでもなく近代的な建物の寺院です。
秀吉の聚楽第史跡巡りをされる方以外には特に行かれる必要は無いでしょう
